The lady working was so sweet and asked us how long we were there, our plans, typical small talk and then recommended we go to the Wisconsin State Fair since we had nothing planned that day, it was perfect and we had a blast! The town and beach were great, quaint and relaxed.

The free breakfast was perfect for our family with fresh made pancakes. It was 4:30 in the afternoon and we had to find a place to stay that night! The gentleman at the front desk was so helpful and got us a suite we could all fit in! This is not a super fancy hotel but it was nice, clean, and convenient. We had a hotel booked in Milwaukee and after arriving we refused to stay there and cancelled our reservation. I'm guessing there has been some staff and management changes because we did not have any of these issues. I am surprised to see so many negative reviews. This hotel appeared clean overall, but the bathroom floor and shower corners were not as thoroughly cleaned as they should be.… We have stayed at a few hotels in the area. (I forgot to mention this before we checked out.) My hubby and I are in this area a couple of times a year on average, and we would stay here again. They would all turn and look at us as we came in and thru the lobby. A couple of evenings when we came in after dark, there would be 1 or 2 men/guys standing around near the front desk and appeared to be just hanging around and talking with the clerk on duty. I addressed this with the staff, and they were able to move us to a top floor room that had opened up. There are no ceiling exhaust fans so this may be contributing to the shower issue. Also, the shower door tract and corners should have been more thoroughly cleaned as well. (Understandable, not much can be changed about that.) After staying the first couple of nights we found that our bathroom had a leak around the toilet, and this was causing a fungal growth in the corner nearby. I am a light sleeper, and we could hear people above us walking around and noisy the first couple of nights. We always prefer a top floor room and that was not available when we arrived. During our stay we had a couple of issues here, but the staff listened when we addressed them, and front desk staff was always friendly to us. However, they did close earlier than listed one day, and some things would be empty and not restocked by the time we got there. The breakfast area was clean, with ample seating, and had plenty of variety to choose from. There is a Kwik Trip right next to the hotel if you need gas or snacks and it is fairly close to alot of restaurants and stores as well. There was the usual Keurig for coffee in our room, and the mini fridge. We were here for about a week, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we have slept on away from home! The bedding is white, and clean, blinds keep out the light, the coffee table with the lift up top was very handy for using a computer or putting snacks on while sitting on the sofa.
